In this dimension time was a fickle thing and Ben's future was already predetermined by the actions he had both taken and not. In this dimension Ben was horribly lonely as many heroes are. In this dimension Ben had few he could trust, kept his head high and came out of fights unscathed. In this dimension his interactions with his grandmother were really only with Gwen. In this dimension the only feline companion he had was Rook. In this dimension Ben marries a woman he was obligated to, whether he loved her or not.
This story does not take place in such a dimension.
A dimension houses multiple universes. Each universe has its own variation of the same story. This dimension has no Prime universe. Each story is a variant with more variants upon that. Sometimes timelines are split for a mere moment before snapping back together. Sometimes they separate forever. Benjamin Kirby Tennyson gets the Omnitrix at age ten. “You shouldn’t be in here!” another voice cried, growling even deeper, twisting horribly gravelly. An insult followed, a word Robin dared not repeat. A word that made her feel dirty. Disgusting. Evil. She cowered away, her heart racing. She knew exactly what was happening, and the realization made her chest tighten in a vice grip. She couldn’t breathe.
Vecna’s voice rang out from all around her, every girl in the locker room speaking with him. “They know your secret, Robin. They know what you try so hard to hide.”

After a shift at Family Video, Robin sees that godforsaken clock and knows she’s in danger. Her friends come to her rescue and they all work together to protect each other, find each other’s Vecna songs, and maybe even find a little love along the way.
