After a kiss caused by mead and years of longing, Arthur realises that Merlin has magic but doesn't tell him. He finds that he can't stop loving Merlin and now that he knows just how heavy a weight he's been carrying, he can't stop comforting in his darkest times, either - despite Merlin being unwilling to start officially courting out of fear and concern for what would happen if Arthur knew.
