The cricket laughed.
“W-What hotel? Oh, oh, do you mean the… the absolutely destroyed one we passed by earlier?” he laughed again, “What a shame, truly! I heard it used to be such a nice place!”
“No,” the puppet said firmly, “Tell them.”
The light of the cricket’s lantern blinked a warning sign.
“No, no, pal,” he started to whisper, and Claudia couldn’t help but roll her eyes. “You’re not thinking straight. We can’t take them to the hotel…!”
One side of the puppet’s face twitched.
