The price on Arthur Morgan's head was enough for Elodie Warner to buy back her freedom. She thought hunting Arthur Morgan would be simple. But in the Grizzlies’ white silence, the hunter becomes the hunted. Arthur Morgan is unaware of just who he captured, what she is capable of and exactly what she would do for freedom. Falling for the outlaw though? Well, that was never apart of her plan.

Summary
My collection of rdr2 drabbles, except all of them are John and Arthur thrown into wildly different little scenarios and settings.
Some are pure fluff, some are smut, some are angst or grief and others are all of that at once.Drabble collection with specific prompts I've set myself (to help me improve my writing while also having a blast)

Summary
There are many different ways that one can choose to live their life. On the American frontier in 1905, there was no such thing as a peaceful life.
You could either be born rich, or do whatever it took to make it there yourself. One could argue that constantly living your life on the edge; in fear, requires a certain type of person. The kind of person who did not startle, did not stutter. It required the kind of person who did not feel fear, whether they were born with it or forced into it.
In Sadie Adlers case, it was the latter. She was a heartless woman, cold even. Those who spoke of her spoke with great caution, but also with great respect.

Summary
Sadie opens her mouth. Glances around at the empty forest around them. Leans in to whisper in his ear.
She watches understanding write itself across Arthur’s face. He considers for a long moment. Runs his eyes over her.
“Alright. We gotta have some ground rules, though. A way to rein it in if it gets too far.”
“I can work with that.”
Or: Sadie has something particular that she wants, and Arthur is really not as bad at playing pretend as he claims to be.

Summary
“Don’t you want to…?”
“No.” John leans back, settling into a position that gives him a good view. “I wanna watch you. Show me what you do when I’m not here.”
Abigail wets her lips. Then she smiles, subtle and coy, angling herself a bit differently so he can get an even better view.
Or: John comes home late one night from his travels to find Abigail awake and in the midst of taking care of herself. He’s not going to pass up the opportunity to witness what she does in his absence.

Summary
“Told you I was cold.” She lightly skims her fingers against his ribcage to make her point.
Arthur flinches. A little too hard for just not liking her icy hands.
Sadie’s brow furrows. She does it again. This time, she gets an outright squirm from him.
“Hey—”
“Well, would you look at that.” She grins, fingers now scuttling against his skin like a particularly determined spider. “I didn’t know you was ticklish.”
Or: On a frigid evening in Ambarino, Sadie and Arthur use a few creative methods to keep warm.

Summary
He knows the invitation that will be extended next. Has accepted it multiple times before, when his journeys were long and lonely.
What he doesn’t expect is the familiar voice that drifts across the room, warming his blood like fine whiskey.
“Hey, darlin’. You want some help in here?”
Or: Arthur tries real hard to keep his growing feelings for Sadie out of his thoughts. His unconscious mind has other plans.

“I’m not sure this is the best time or place for this,” Arthur says, his voice choked.
“Looks like you’re doing just fine to me,” Sadie smirks.
In which Sadie and Arthur get in a shoot-out, then put their lingering adrenaline to good use.

Summary
“Nah, I knew what I was doing. I was fixing to stab him ‘fore you showed up.” Sadie heads for the dresser, plucking out the pins holding her hairstyle in place. “Worst part was having to talk to him for so long.”
“Probably didn’t need to. Could’ve just shown up wearing that little number and had him wrapped right around your finger.” The oil lamp in the corner casts a dark shadow across Arthur’s features.
Or: An undercover mission requires Sadie to get uncomfortably close to the target. The job is less than thrilling, but the pay (and Arthur’s reaction afterwards) might just be worth it.

Summary
“Good boy,” she says, hoping to convince the horse to tolerate her. She just needs to get him to stay till she can trade him in at the nearest stable.
“Is he?” Arthur raises a brow, petting Thor’s nose while the Andalusian leans into him like a little baby.
“Who said I was talking to the horse?” Sadie sasses back.
Or: An offhand comment leads Sadie to a revelation, then to a certain interesting idea...

Summary
“Oh hush now!’ John gulps as he looks up at her exasperated expression as she scoffs at his antics. Nimble fingers already unbuttoning her blouse and shrugging it off her shoulders as she continues, “I didn’t take you for such a prude when I married you, John Marston.” She wears a smirk on her lips as she continues to undress, now untying her skirts as John’s voice is lost in his throat and his mouth dry. “Now you big baby, strip and get in while it’s warm.”

Summary
“Never answered my question, by the way,” Arthur added, looking to the stranger again. “Don’t think I ever caught your name.”
The stranger shook his head, exhaling smoke. “It doesn’t matter,” he answered, frankly. “To you, I’m just a Strange Man.”
Arthur grunted, taking another drag. “You’re certainly that,” he agreed, blowing out smoke again. “So—what, then? You comin’ to tell me I’m dead?”
The Strange Man looked out over the vale for a long moment. “Do you think you’re dead, Arthur?” he finally asked.

Summary
If you told Arthur Morgan 10 years ago, the rugged, toughened outlaw, bruiser of the Van Der Lindes, his family, that today they would be roughing it out in Roanoke Ridge, Beaver Hollow, with half of them dead? Well, he would have taken his revolver to his jaw and blew the iron.
