“I’ll be fine,” she grumbled in response, not wanting him to waste what little money he had on her. But then the world abruptly shifted axis, and she had to catch herself on her knee so she wouldn’t faceplant. “Ow.”
“Yeah, no, let’s go get a room,” Molly laughed, as if he could easily afford it. As if he hadn’t just been jumped in an alleyway for the audacity of being a tiefling.
