Summary
It’s not as if Curtis isn’t aware of the hazards he faces on research dives, but this is not at all how he was expecting it to kill him if it did. He has always worried about his oxygen levels, his surfacing speed, remembering which way is up, keeping his temperature under control in the frigid waters… he never thought it would be anything as cinematic as being eaten by a leopard seal. God, what a beautiful beast, though.
