Imaushi Takemichi es el protagonista de la novela, «Doce años para salvar un amor» una novela de romance y venganza donde Takemichi retrocede en el tiempo luego de que es asesinado por el segundo al mando de una mafia al la cual decide enfrentar por el asesinato de su esposa y cuñado.
Takemichi Hanagaki, lector que comparte nombre con el protagonista piensa que «Doce años para salvar un amor» es una completa basura porque al final no solo el protagonista y su amante terminan muertos por manos del villano, sino también sus familias, donde el protagonista es un idiota por dejarse manipular por la amabilidad de su novia y no aprovechar la lealtad de su familia, y más que todo por no ver al guapo villano que está completamente enamorado de él. Por supuesto, Takemichi Hanagaki cree que si fuera el protagonista, su familia no terminaría muerta y el conquistaría al villano. Lo que no espera Takemichi es irse a dormir y desertarse como Imaushi Takemichi con un sistema ante sus ojos llamado «sistema de conquista y control del villano»

A bang echoed suddenly, and Takemichi winced. His eyes squinted and he stuffed his finger in his ears, holding back the loud sound that came from his back. He was about to ignore it and walk away when he lightly felt a cold metal tip touch his neck. The silence hung heavy, as the other traces imaginary lines on the back of his head.
Takemichi then breathes out, softly and draws out his arms, as if he was surrendering. Takemichi wasn't really afraid of anything, he thinks it might be an advantage of staying in depression for months. He slowly turns back, murmuring, “...Umm Excuse me?” The holder of the gun finally came into view. It was a shorter white haired male, who wore a hoodie–a black emo hoodie, that looked expensive, but was nothing special. Still, Takemichi places his eyes on the white head, and sees the other's face. It was a cute face! A freaking mafia or who knows what gang member had a cute puppy face–
And Takemichi laughed
