Leon grunted when he skid across the hard ground of the forest, gaining new scrapes and bruises that stung. He laid on the ground for a few minutes, gasping. When he managed to actually get some oxygen back to his brain, he opened his eyes and blinked away the involuntary tears that had blurred his vision. The sight that greeted him nearly made the air leave his lungs for a third time.
He was in the same forest area but something was widely different. The atmosphere had some weird floating spores that looked like a fucked up version of snow, slimy tentacle vines littered the ground and slithered up anything vertical, and the sky was a blood red color that was streaked with lightning every few minutes. Leon carefully climbed back to his feet, gaze fixated on the sky that was distinctly familiar but also widely unfamiliar. Where the fuck was he?

After the disaster that was the Starcourt incident, Steve desperately tries to keep Max and himself from sinking. All he wants is just one whole year without having to fight for his own and his family's lives againt monsters from another dimension. But when an old friend turns up dead inside Eddie Munson's trailer, he has to quickly accept that they might never be free from the Upside Down after all.
