Durante la última semana Alear le ha dado muchas vueltas a dos dudas, estas no tenían que ver con la guerra contra Sombron o que hacer para que sus aliados dejen de tratar de quemar sus aposentos cuando estos venían para despertarlo, sino que eran dudas más personales. La primera era sobre qué haría con su problema amoroso ya que se había enamorado tanto de Ivy como de Timerra y la segunda es que durante los últimos días alguien desconocido entraba a su habitación y le dejaba en la mesita (donde tenía guardado el anillo del pacto) un plato con un pastelillo y un trozo de carne asada, pero nadie en el Somniel sabía quién era. El Dragón Divino comenzaría a investigar sobre el misterio del plato sin saber que eso lo ayudaría a resolver sus problemas amorosos.

Alear was slowly getting used to her role as the Divine Dragon Monarch, doing her part to help Elyos heal after the war against the Fell Dragon. However, peace didn't last long as a few of the Emblem Rings had disappeared from the ring chamber. Her journey to recover the lost rings has brought her to a war-torn world. She comes across a dragon child and her heroic father, dealing with strange beings and a foreign threat.
It wasn't her world, but Alear would continue to do whatever it took to protect others. After all, it's what a Divine Dragon would do.

Alear's skin crawls with discomfort, but the act of returning to life is surprisingly painless. His body lifts itself from the floor regardless of his input, lifelessly pulled upright by whatever strings now tie it to Veyle's command, but while there is a certain pull to her that commands him, he is coming back to himself with remarkable ease. Something not-quite a heart pulses in his chest, pumping magic and not blood through his veins, but this too is merely strange and not painful. No less terrifying, but there are more pressing matters right now than his status as living-dead— don't think about it. The more he allows himself to be caught up in it, the more likely his composure is to slip, and with the suspicious stares of his comrades— don't think about it— he can't afford to be anything but calm right now. If he isn't— they'll tear him apart, they'll kill him, until whatever makes up his Corrupted heart stops beating and his body turns to ash and there will be no second chance, no second revival— don't think about it.

Summary
When the battle— a terrible, one-sided affair, only a hazy smear of blood and ash in Alear's memory— finally came to an end, he remembers the sight of those same mothers, clutching their children even after the end. He wonders, often, why they would lie to them, when they saw the Fell Dragon's army approach— what the point is in reassuring a child that they will be okay, even when all that awaits them is death.
In a shameful, defective memory he keeps hidden carefully away for fear it will be the end of him, Alear crawled into the arms of one such corpse and imagined those words directed at him, instead. It's okay. You're alright. Her arms were cold and stiff, slick with blood, haphazardly arranged around his trembling form. Alear wondered if his mother ever held him like this, when he was too small to remember it. It was the closest he has ever come— will ever come— to warmth.

"Sorry— I'm sorry," he manages to spit out. The fear he should normally be able to suppress with ease overflows from that space outside himself where he normally tucks it away. It will only doom him further, but once he's begun to speak he finds he can't seem to stop himself from continuing in a voice that sounds like every defective sibling he's ever watched make blubbering excuses to Father for their failures.
