A story that includes characters from ‘Logan’ and is certainly different from the movie (The Wolverine is in his prime for this story, and neither he nor Professor X died). Lightning, a new mutant, was brought back to a safehouse, being found after a fight. The remaining kids, who are also mutants, are housed there. They are all kept safe and protected by Logan and Charles Xavier, who train them and make sure they all know how to control their powers. Along the way, the boy meets Laura, and the pair befriend each other instantly and get to know each other as time goes on (and Laura learns a very personal secret about the boy). The boy keeps getting attacked and hunted down by a company that was involved in testing him and other mutants (not Transigen). There are also a few scares along the way but that’s what happens when you’re a mutant and outsiders can’t be trusted, right?
