“My little gimbap,” he said, chuckling when Keith made a face.
“Neo jeongmal mulyehaguna...” His face was sour, but Lance knew it wasn't serious from his tone. “You're lucky I love you so much.”
“Yeah,” Lance replied, his expression turning soft and he touched his forehead to Keith's, “I really am lucky...”

But because he'd been acting odd lately, ever since he'd returned with Kosmo, Romelle, and Krolia. Even the short interaction they'd had in Plaht City was not normal to how he typically treated her.

Summary
Lance has an abusive father who has used him to basically sell off to other noblemen in an arranged marriage. Lance’s first two husbands mysteriously died before his father was finally able to climb the ranks of finding a duke to marry Lance off to.
Keith does not care about the arranged marriage or the status of Lance’s father and family. He just wanted to marry Lance because he likes Lance as a person. Keith is also a genuinely great duke who has created his dukedom and specifically goes out of his way to hire those who have physical disabilities who would otherwise not be able to have jobs.
Keith is a half-monster and believes that he is a hideous creation and therefore creates walls around Lance until Lance in his Lanceness breaks him down. Angst and misunderstandings ensue but in the end they have a great relationship
TL;DR: Keith is bad at feelings and is a pining mess. Lance is a disaster who’s trying to break Keith's walls down to get to know the real him. In the end they become an unstoppable couple and a force to be reckoned with.
This work was inspired and based upon the story of Disobey the Duke if you Dare that is available on Manta Comics. I do not own the story or the characters.

Keith sees something white and soft-looking hiding underneath a towel, and as soon as he grabs at it, the lights flicker once and then shut off entirely, plunging him back into darkness. “Random Galra commander, you are on my shitlist,” Keith declares under his breath, pulling the shirt out of the pile and yanking it over his head.
His hair gets caught in the collar and he pulls at it until it curls around his neck again, and Keith haphazardly throws it up into a ponytail with the hair tie he found next to his bayard and knife. He forgoes boots entirely, on account of he swore he’d left a spare pair in Red, and even if he didn’t, his paladin armor had boots so he was really just saving himself time suiting up.

Sensing Keith's discomfort, Kosmo came over to his person and gently pulled on his pant leg, forcing Keith to sit down once the Husky managed to pull him to the nearest chair. Once in the chair, the manager came over to check on Keith. The older man rarely had to see Kosmo actually working and was worried.
"Are you okay, m'boy?" he softly asked, after making sure Keith focused on his face.
"I'm fine," Keith chuckled exhaustively, playfully tugging on the ginger mustache in front of him. "That was just a bit...much...I hope I don't have to see him again..."

The impact was enough to knock out Keith's breath, but the searing kiss to follow turned him into a puddle. Even after all that time apart had passed and altering the course of their lives for themselves, their feelings for each other had never changed. Once they broke apart for air, Keith finally got a good look at his lover and thought his heart would beat out of his chest.
