Summary
Hua Cheng and Xie Lian find a spellbook deep inside the Heavenly Court's library (created after the defeat of Jun Wu) and come across a time travel spell. With Ling Wen's approval, they borrow it and plan to try the spell to travel one or two days into the future to test it believing that it was entirely safe and that even if they do mess up it couldn't be too drastic, right?
Wrong.
In the blink of an eye, Hua Cheng and Xie Lian find themselves in an alley with buildings with strange architectural styles and with a weird language being spoken all around them and people walking the street in strange clothes with strange hairstyles. They had travelled 1300 years into the future and even got dumped in a different country.
It is 1927 in Chicago, Illinois, USA where a powerful group of criminals rules the night with otherworldly abilities.
