Dick Greyson can see ghosts. He has always been able to. After the death of Jason, he saw his ghost everywhere. But one day, 6 months later, he stopped seeing Jason. His little brother just flickered out of existence. Something about it just didn’t sit right with him. When ghost are about to pass on, they are usually very happy. But Jason wasn’t like that. Jason had been angry, and so sad. He had been trying to comfort his brother, nothing seemed to work.
Now he had to deal with the new crime lord that showed up in Gotham out of nowhere, and didn’t have the time nor energy to worry about Jason’s ghost. He could only hope that Jason had found peace in whatever afterlife existed.

The only thing Jason could really say he liked about his grave is that if he perches on top of it, he can see clear down to the wrought iron gateway that marked the entrance to the cemetery, count the cars in the small parking lot that stretched out beyond.
For as static of a view as it often was, it was at least better than he assumed it would’ve been from the base of the hill where his mother’s grave stood, nothing to watch but the engravings on the surrounding tombs. Spending his eternity there seemed… lonely. Sad.
Not that he had seen a single other ghost in his time there. He’d seen burials happen, just down the hill, and had waited patiently, week after week, for the spirit to rise out of the gravestone to join him.
But so far it seemed that every single other dead person in the whole world had figured out something he hadn’t.

Or: A cult comprised of amateur horror enthusiasts accidentally summons the spirit of Jason Todd in place of their revered cavalryman of vengeance. Halloween shenanigans ensue, family drama follows, and feelings about death are complicated, as you'd expect.
