“Pete!” He whispered frantically, “Pete, hey! It’s okay its just me-”
Harsh panting breaths filled the room as Pete began to panic thinking someone was coming into his room to hurt him, or worse. The fog in his brain made it hard for him to process things, especially seconds after waking up, and Pete wasn’t able to register the fact that he wasn't in his childhood bedroom. Suddenly a light flicked on and his hands flew up to cover his face as he curled in on himself protectively. He tried to fight against the hands pulling at his wrists.
“Pete, it's just me! Hey look at me” Pete gently tugged Pete's hands down. “It’s patrick! You're safe, I promise-”
The light from the lamp on the nightstand helped, and Pete was able to look around and see where he was. He wasn’t in his childhood bedroom, and nobody was coming to hurt him. The only other person in the room was patrick. Once Pete realised that, he started calming down.
Safe.
Patrick is safe.

This was truly an experience I’ve never had before. The feeling of obsession and changing every ounce of yourself to be what (you think) someone else wants, was EXTREMELY well conveyed. Maybe not so much in its accuracy to reality, but in its sheer potentness and desperation. Also this was totally food porn (speaking of, that one scene was crazy).
