Summary
The rules about the stage were very simple. Sua might seem like the least likely to know—but she knew how the games would play out very well. She knew. And even if death loomed over her, like an old human killing-machine—they used to call it a guillotine, something from an old language—that sharp blade of the crowd’s discredit to Sua’s mere existence—well, at least Mizi ouldnt be the one to go first. The rules Sua knew were only a little different than the rules that Mizi knew, after all.
