After escaping imprisonment from DARKCOM, Dante vows to search for his brother and repair his broken family. At the same time, a mysterious demonic tower appears and throws everything into chaos.
Mary “Lady” Arkham and the White Rabbit have joined forces to take down DARKCOM, forced to confront their pasts and the depths of their hate bond with each other.

At this point his disinterest in everything hinders his decision-making process so much that he's outsourced it to a coin. It has a larger capacity for pesky little things like emotions and good judgement and probably has a more affable personality to it too.

Apparently, a Princess Lucia has requested help in slaying a knucker, a type of water dragon, that had appeared and poisoned the wells. A dragon is a dragon, and the two accept the request… but not all is as it seems, and Princess Lucia’s father, King Arius seems to have secrets of his own…

Dante is bored and depressed when a random guy with green hair and trauma shows up at his doorstep with a letter and some cash from Morrison telling him The Company is up to something and also maybe the guy with green hair is a programme? But also human ... and probably at least half demon. They eat pizza, they kill bad guys, and they ... maybe find love?

"She glances at the old papers filling the pages, scoffing at her past remarks. The audacity of youth, she boils it down to, and scans past them to the section of the book reserved for photographs. Here there are several of the island, some taken by travelers and colonizers alike, but most are drawings. She smiles at one in particular of her daughter, Lucia, playing with sea shells in the sand. Her hair is short and disorderly but redder than the clay of the lower mountains, burning almost too intensely against the aged paper. Matier places a finger on the page, careful to not smear the charcoal. Behind it lies a drawing of a small family of four, the parents side by side and their two children each held in place by one parent’s firm hand. Her smile falls back, nostalgia growing too sad to be enjoyable any longer."
The events of DMC 2 as told by me. (Focus on Dante's mental health as well as the too-often neglected characters of this story. Information and inspiration have been drawn from both the game and the novels/manga.)

Hanging by a single thread, the last life line of humanity was a half-devil clad in scarlet red. Plagued by nightmares, the mistakes of youth were chasing him to this day. A path of redemption was his answer, neglecting himself and those that loved him most. Lucia did her best to help, but she would never fill the void in his heart. The spell was ready, but he hesitated. Without his protection, this world would surely find its end.
