"Lance are you okay." A gruff voice blasted from the other side of the speaker. The sentence came out rushed and more like a demand than a question. It was so Keith-like and familiar that Lance nearly burst into tears.
"Keith." He breathed, feeling the tension bleed from his shoulders. He slumped against the wall and took the phone off speaker. "I'm- good. How are you?"
"What? No. You called. A few days ago. I'm sorry I couldn't pick up, but what happened?"
Lance blinked in confusion. "Nothing? Why do you sound so stressed, man?"
Keith groaned from the other side and Lance heard a dull thunk. "That was the first time you- I don't know. I just thought something happened." He cleared his throat, a little embarrassed by all his fretting that was over seemingly nothing.
"I forgot how high-strung you are sometimes. All's um, good here. Just wanted to check in."
"Oh, okay. Nothing to report." Came Keith's short reply. Lance snorted.
"Jeez, I'm not Kolivan." he snickered into his palm. "I don't want a mission report, weirdo; I'm asking how you're doing."

The audience goes fucking apeshit. Not only is the idea of Lance singing and playing for them admittedly pretty exciting, but the idea that Lance – Loverboy Lance – had his heart broken? By whom? Who is the mysterious person who didn’t want Lance?
It’s an ingenious marketing strategy, Pidge will give him that. She wonders if it’s true, if he really did write a song about heartbreak.

Keith was asleep when the wristband on his blade suit lit up for the first time in weeks, letting him know he was receiving a video call. The faint lilac glow and gentle buzz had woken Keith up immediately, being used to waking up from a deep sleep to pick up a call from the castle whenever he could to talk to his friends. He couldn’t believe it. He thought Kolivan had told everyone that he and Krolia were MIA and probably presumed dead too, and that’s why they hadn’t called. Or more likely they had been calling and Space Signal didn’t extend to Quantum Abysses (Abyssi? What was the plural of Abyss, Keith wondered).
“Krolia!” He yelled, startling himself from his thoughts and her from her watch so badly that she hit her head on the cave’s wall.
“Keith! What has happened?” She panted, eyes frantic.
“They’re calling! They’re calling, we must’ve gotten a signal or they must have- wait I have to pick up before I lose them!” Keith taps his wrist and Lance’s face pops up on the holloscreen.
______________Basically, I didn't like that Keith and Krolia were completely isolated on the space whale for two years so I fixed it and I made it Klance because that's what I do.

“Black Paladin, please come with us.”
It’s an outdated title. Shiro doesn’t move. “May I ask where we’re going?”
“King’s orders,” says the one who’s already spoken. “His Excellency requires your presence.” The rest of the guards remain silent, watching, and a chill goes down Shiro’s back.
Shiro gets captured. Keith and Lance have some feelings about that.

"It’s… it’s h-happening again,” Keith replies, the words are spilling out of him like all the things he wants to say. His words are too fast, being pushed out from lungs that don’t seem to work the way he wants them to. A panic attack.
Or everything is wrong, an unavoidable tragedy cascading just beyond Lance’s ability to control it.
