Summary
Suddenly he caught a glance of yellow in front of him. He’d been so lost in thought he hadn’t noticed the other person nearing him on the other end of the alley. A small miracle in itself, as the set of golden-yellow wings sitting on the man’s back stood out like a splash of light against the dreary, dirtied buildings of the Backend.
Even from afar, it was clear to Tango that the man was not from around. He walked hunched over, topaz-brown eyes darting up and down the street, not to mention the clean clothes that fit him like a glove and the silken blond hair that must have been freshly washed.
And Tango was sure he could not forget those delicate wings if he wanted to.
