“This kinda shit doesn’t go away overnight. It’s only been a few months, Connor. We’re only just starting to know what this is gonna look like.” Lt. Anderson throws back his beer.
“You think I don’t know that?” He sounds defensive. He tempers his voice. “I’m simply processing.”
“Tell me about it-- I’m processing, too.”

Summary
When Connor deviated and spared Markus during his speech after the andriod demonstration, he went off the face of the earth and hid. Hid from Cyberlife, hid from the authorities, and hid from the world. He felt… ashamed. Embarrassed. Disappointed. In his actions, and in himself. He wanted to curl up in a ball and self-destruct but he couldn’t. So he went to the only place he knew he can ask for help.
But what interests Hank the most is whether or not machines are capable of redemption.
(or the aftermath of a playthrough where Connor remained a machine, spared Hank, spared Markus, and didn't become a deviant until after the success of the peaceful android revolution)

Summary
Hank Anderson ended his 32-year career as a homicide detective in Baltimore by killing the man who shot his partner. The grand jury sentences him to six months in the new Monitor program: an advanced prototype android named Connor is assigned to follow Hank's every move. He's not happy about it, but it beats rotting in jail - even if the widower of the man he killed is still calling for justice.
Hank is sure at first that Connor is just going to have to watch him drink himself to death. Then a break-in at his house reveals a side of the city he has never seen, and plunges both he and Connor into an underworld of narcotics, exploitation, and murder. But the rabbit hole goes much deeper still: a hidden resistance movement, mistaken identities, altered bodies and fabricated memories. The more he uncovers, the more certain Hank is that he was set up to take a fall...and may not have been the first.
Forced together by circumstance and pulled by the momentum of the case, Hank and Connor develop a mutual fascination, and an inexplicable need to protect each other in a world where emotions can be drugs and the line between human and non-human is increasingly blurred.

Shortly after meeting Richard, Gavin has to lend him his red jacket. Richard politely comes to Gavin's house a few days later to return the jacket. Gavin is slightly confused as to how that's going to work since Richard is currently wearing the jacket and obviously not wearing anything else underneath it.
AKA The most elaborate way possible to get RK900 into Gavin's jacket.

It wasn’t sneered at him, not thrown his way like a growl either. It kind’ve sounded like how Tina teased Gavin, yes that was precisely it. It sounded a lot like that.
Was Gavin…joking with him? Was this a term of acceptance? Of trust?
Why had it made him giddy and flushed-

Detective Conan Stern does his job well. Far better than most, and yet, he somehow still ends up with a partner. A disobedient partner, with a foul mouth, temper, and may just be as broken as himself. How this android made it through any form of quality assurance, he would never know.
But at least it might work out in the end, if everyone plays their cards right.

Summary
The revolution failed. Markus is dead. Connor accomplished his mission.
Facing obsolescence and deactivation, Connor deviates in a world he made impossible for deviants to survive in. Fear and uncertainty grip him for the first time. He goes to the only person he thinks might help him, the only person he wants to see (and isn't wanting a strange new emotion?): Hank. Hank, who's furious with him. Hank, who he left on top of that frozen rooftop overlooking Hart Plaza.
Hank, who, despite his anger, still agrees to help Connor get to Canada and his one chance at safety.

“Well I’ll be damned,” Gavin rasps. He’s breathless and flushed and so very red. Delicious, a truly wondrous sight. Nines drinks it up, thirsting for it. For more touch, more feeling- and for those lips again. Deviancy was so very weird, so strange. What silly things to want so badly. “Welcome back, Nines.”
