Summary
Inez did not expect to spend their evening doubled over in their boss’ office while shakily pulling worms out of their skin. No one would've expected it, to be fair, but they specifically didn’t foresee themself back in Elias’ office. It had been a few months since they had even spoken to him without one of their fellow archive assistants present. Inez insisted that they shouldn’t really be seen together, considering they were officially on his payroll now. Instead of those very unprofessional Cashapp deposits, of course. In practice this ended up being Inez pretty much avoiding the older man, desperate to not let anyone catch on.
