After a rough week of arguments, Ruby and Weiss’s relationship is in the gutter. They couldn’t even stay in the same room for long without snapping at each other. Which made it perfect timing for their yearly invite to the Schnee family estate for the holidays.
Ruby figured that it wasn’t long before Weiss finally cut her loose. It made her feel… empty. She remembered the days they would spend together, curled up on the couch. The drunken discussions about American classics with Weiss’s fancy champagne in her plastic solo cups.
Weiss, for her part, knew she was lacking. But, with her girlfriend of 8 years almost consistently out of a job or high off her ass with her sister in law, she felt the pressure of being the sole provider. She remembered the days they would spend together, at Ruby’s sister’s house, weed present and hands they could barely keep to themselves.
The last thing either of them wanted was to be arguing in the back of the Schnee private car. All Ruby wanted was to be a good passenger. All Weiss wanted was to not have to make every call.
