Evangeline woke up in a life she told was hers, it felt like it was anything but. To make things worse she has no idea how she got here. Her new husband Apollo seems to be something that fell right out of a fairytale. But if he is so perfect why does he forbid her from leaving the castle grounds? Why is he trying to stop her from things that could bring her memories back? Then on top of it all images of a man with unruly blonde hair and pale skin haunts her dreams. Something tells Evangeline he is the key on how she ended up here. Why the smell of apples makes her heart ache, the broken heart scar on her wrisrt. The more Apollo seems to want to hold her in, the more ready Evangeline becomes to escape.
Jacks is determined to stay away from Evangeline. He didn't lie when he told her that their love story is doomed to fail. She didn't believe him and that is why the image of her limp and cold in his arms will be ingrained in his mind forever. Jacks ignored all the warnings to bring Evangeline back. And he wasn't going to let his desires make him lose Evangeline forever. So he tries to leave her in her new life with her simpering prince. My take on a post Ballad fix it fic because Stephanie hurt my heart
Evangeline is lost after she woke up several weeks ago with no recollection of the most recent years of her life. All she knows is her childhood fairytale dream came true, and she has a dashing prince for a husband who seems to worship at her feet. Despite her seemingly fantastical reality, she can't stop trying to regain her memories, and can't figure out why Apollo doesn't seem to be helping her (spoiler it's because he sucks and he's a dumb stupid man who doesn't respect women's autonomy).
Meanwhile people from Evangeline's missing past keep showing up and she's beginning to suspect no one is being fully truthful with her, and no one seems to want to answer her questions about a certain enchanting, blonde haired, apple eating figure who keeps showing up in both her dreams and reality.
