His fists, which were still clenched, finally relaxed around the wheel and gently gripped it, enough for him to seem less threatening. Will knew how Mike operated— if he came on too strong, Mike would shut down. That’s how he always was.
“I don’t hate you,” Mike finally responded after what felt like ten whole minutes. He was avoiding Will’s eyes, his gaze focused intensely on his own shoes. The same dirty and worn converse he’d worn for years. “Will, I envy you.”
Will and Mike are childhood friends— well, not exactly. More like childhood friends adjacent. They really only hangout because they are conveniently in the same friend group. The sick that had been clawing its way up Mikes throat dropped with a sudden jolt of fear that felt like a cold hand tying a painful knot in his stomach, making him feel queasy and paralyzed.
A cool end of a pistol was placed at the bottom of his spine, slowly trailing it way up to upper back. His breath increased rapidly. Lips gently pressed against his ear and spoke rasping -

based off " believe me", purely to spread awareness! but with mike as the victim and showing how much things can change in a matter of seconds....this ofc will not be exactly accurate to the story and everyone is alive in this fic and mike has just turned 15 so in between s3 and s4 .
