Nene always knew her body felt wrong. The way her hair settled on her shoulders and neck never sat right with her as a child. She didn’t like how it felt.
Her mom always assumed it was due to her autism, and Nene assumed she was right. Not to say that isn’t part of the reason. Yet, it never felt completely true to her. She never yearned to rough-house with the boys as a child, it was dirty, gross and disgusting. That wasn’t even including her horrible social anxiety.
