Summary
Tommy always knew that he would never be able to become heroes like the rest of his family. The major reason being that to become a hero you needed a superpower. In a city where everyone had a power of one form or another, that normally wasn't a problem. Unfortunately, Tommy was one of the very few that didn't get any.
Or at least that's what everyone thought.
A terrible event causes Tommy to realize he might not be as powerless as everyone thought. And he might be the key to stopping a villain that has been slowly working to take control of the whole city, just out of everyone's sight. -

Tommy has the ability to see and interact with ghosts, even when they're hidden to others, and that's really how the main characters of this story stumble upon the, long thought, abandoned house of the Minecraft-Soots. Follow the members of the Dream SMP as they end up in a situation that somehow ended up being so much more than just "Oh hey ghosts!". Follow the members as they try to uncover the murderer of SBI.

Purpled no known last name was homeless, jobless and in need of a new start. He get's more then he hoped for when applying to the new café that had just opened. A place to sleep, a gothic café and a disembodied hand what more could he have asked for then this? it was perfect.
But perfection doesn't last forever. For a threat is on the horizon, and Purpled hopes his boss/roommate/platonic husband doesn't get them both murdered with his interest in the multiple unsolved murder cases popping up around their town.

Summary
Tommy woke to the scent of rot and the creeping sensation of total claustrophobia.
He tried to move his arms upward to push whatever it was off of him, but the object was unyielding. The darkness seemed to seep into his core, bringing panic with it as he realised what was on top of him.
It took him half an hour to stop screaming. The cheap velvet of the coffin's lid fell victim to his frantic clawing and soon after that his hands met wood.
He started screaming again. The air seemed to grow thinner by the moment and all he could think about was the soil pressing down on the coffin's lid.
That mocking, cruel voice seemed to be etched into his soul. Those final words said before his heart was ripped out of his chest and blood poured into his lungs.

When Tommy hears of the Stairwell Enchantress, he anticipates it's a lie parents spun in order to get kids to behave. Andー it turns out it IS a ghost, just not what he was expecting.
Wilbur's not the haunting ghoul he’s heard from the whispers between kids, he’s a weird bald man desperate to make friends, breaking down over a cat clinging near his leg.
So Tommy becomes friends with him. It’s only so Wilbur will stop screaming. (It’s not.)
OR: Tommy can see ghosts: 3/4 SBI are intrigued by that. Now Tommy has to deal with a musician, warrior, and mother-hen trio of ghosts determined to save him from the hellhole he lives in and make him a part of their family.
Seriously, they're ghosts! He's a living mortalー It's not like they can make him agree, in the first place.

“Fuck you bitch. I want to sleep,” Tommy said.
“What happened to the little boy who called me an angel?! I miss that Tommy! The one who promised to help and love his Wilby!” Wilbur dramatically said. Tommy instantly lunged up and tackled him on the bed and trying to wrangle Wilbur under him before falling into his blankets as Wilbur turned intangible.
“I hate when you do that,” Tommy grumbled, picking himself up to see Wilbur smirking at him with pride.
“Try being dead and then you could do what I do! You could be just like your big brother!” Wilbur chirped out.

Everyone knew that Tommy didn't have a power.
He never got a power when he was four or five, he never had wings suddenly emerge from his back like his dad, he never accidentally controlled someone like Wilbur, he never got put into a rage like Techno. Nothing unusual ever happened.
Sure, when he was eight he started becoming more distant, and wouldn't go into the bathrooms until he got his own and changed what was bothering him so much, but nothing ever truly unusual happened that would show sign of a power. Everyone knew that Tommy was powerless.
