Thrasir is… not doing so well for herself, ever since the nightmares (read: memories) of her Ki- her Summoner’s death began to emerge once more, him right in her arms, desperately holding onto him and pleading for him to not leave her all alone once more.
It takes the combined efforts of Eir, Veronica, and this world’s Kiran for her to not close herself off to a lonely death and into an open life. To finally begin moving forward once more, and heal her lonely heart.

A rewritten tale of Alfonse and Veronica's descent into madness following their realms' invasions by Hel and her forces. This is my first fic that I'm posting to AO3, so any constructive feedback is appreciated.
The fic begins a few years after Book 2 ends, things having settled down between Askr and Embla. Its unclear to me how much time there is between the books, so in this case I think Book 1 and Book 2 happened about a month apart, but Hel's forces invade several years later. I did it this way to justify Líf and Thrasir's in-game designs as looking older and differently developed than base Alfonse and Veronica do.
Líf is literally my husband, but the more I remembered and looked into his and Veronica's backstories, the more I felt I was left wanting. And as I am a human being with the capability to write, I wanted to see what I could do to spice things up as much as I could. Alfonse and Vero are such interesting characters, so I wanted to do them justice and set their story straight. I really hope you enjoy this!!! It is absolutely a WIP and I will be going through and editing/revising as I write and find time to edit. Much love!!!
