Without Heimdal to watch over the rainbow bridge of Asgard that snaked through all nine realms – Thor would have to have a word with Brunhilde about revising New Asgard's grade-school curriculum, which was unfortunate because schoolboard meetings were hell, as, apparently, there were a few more than that – it stood to reason that it would be relatively easy for someone to... wander off the beaten, chromatic path.
Banner or Stark would probably devise some woefully human attempted rationalization to explain the ... incident, for lack of a better term, that had befallen him while he was in transit, but Thor was content to attribute it to the Wyrd. Fate had led him to an entirely unknown realm.

Summary
It was nothing special to Tony that Thor didn't show up frequently. Only when said Thunderer finally does show up, completely injured and confused, with a screaming bundle in his arms, he slowly discovvers what terrible things have happened to his friend. He gets his friends to heal their injuries, but their Asgardian was not only hurt physically, but mentally as well, maybe even stronger. Together, they try their best to ease Thor's fear and struggle to find out who did this to him and his brother Loki.

But what will happen if Odin finds out about them and are the lovers aware that Loki could theoretically become pregnant?
