Summary
Short? Yes. Incomplete? Never.
I'm writing a series of haiku about the Mosaic. These are all standalone but I shall add more like tiles from time to time. So in essence this puzzle will always be complete yet ever creating a new pattern. Hoping to gradually present the beauty of all their lives together. Like shifting tiles I may shift the pictures around too, as I have time. I'm actually being crushed by deadlines rn, sorry for the mess, but I figure They got tired working on the puzzle, too. Yet they loved each day. And we all love it so.
Thank you for reading!

Summary
Eliot finds among Jane Chatwin’s things perhaps a way to bring back Quentin—but it comes at an enormous personal cost: during the ritual, Eliot is stripped of his Shade completely. Violently ripping the reigning Dark King from the throne, Eliot assumes the mantle of Dark High King—a truly malevolent force who will do anything to get Quentin back. Even if it means he becomes somebody the man he loves won’t recognize when Eliot rescues Quentin from the Underworld. By any means necessary.

Please note: Yes, this fic goes to some very dark places. Including Q's POV in the Underworld. (Please heed all warnings.) But it's endgame Queliot, AND Queliot do get to see each other, even before Quentin returns to Eliot in life. For reassurance purposes (also smut): there are Queliot reunion scenes in Ch. 3 and 6 currently. And they'll be reunited in Fillory soon.

“Do you think he should be walking by now?” Quentin asked. The sun was sinking past the treeline, and the sky was painted with streaks of violet and gold. The air was cooling. Crickets chirped, and frogs peeped.

Summary
He felt safe, farther away from the pandemonium. Most people were not far back from the show, most people liked that sort of thing.
One man caught his eye, settled casually atop a dividing wall like an elegant cat decided to try out human form but couldn't resist sunbathing. Those lazy eyes caught him in their study, making his feet stop moving.
A colorful diamond pattern coat was folded neatly by the man's head as he had possibly been using it as a pillow. A pillow for the most well-behaved and equally well-styled hair Quentin had ever seen.

Summary
Last night, after a candlelit dinner with fresh-baked bread, after lightning bug chasing and bathtime by the fire and hugs and kisses and tucking Teddy in and telling him one of the fabulous Legends of Bambi the Destroyer, Quentin and Eliot sat together in the mouth of the cottage and cried.

Summary
“Damn,” Quentin says. “It’s really coming down out there.” His head was stuck nearly outside, hair tumbling over his shoulders as he leaned out the window. He pulled his head back in. “Do you think he’s okay? Should we check on him?”
Eliot snorted. “You mean should we go out in the rain and muck and get all wet and dirty to make sure our thirteen-year-old son hasn’t drowned in a puddle? I think it’s okay, Q.”

Summary
Quentin steps through the wide open doorway, the Underworld metrocard Penny had given him a solid, insistent weight in his hand. And then—like some great unseen force reaching forward and clicking off a light—Quentin is gone. Blanked out, full-dark, drained of all his everything like a glass with a hole in its side. No tunnel with a brilliant white light at the other end of it. No dead relatives waiting with smiles on their faces and open arms to greet him. There’s just—
There’s nothing.

Summary
Ted comes home to find his parents gone and a strange woman who tells him she needs his help to save New Fillory. With his world dissolving into nothingness, he will embark on a quest to unlock a strange deck of cards in order to help her save the future. But the search for the cards won't be easy, and playing with time magic can have irreversible consequences. He will need to get to know this new timeline, and its characters, in order to be successful and save them all.
Or the excuse I needed to have Teddy meeting Quentin and Eliot (and the rest of the gang) from our current timeline.
(Continuation of 'The Other Side', although it could be read on its own if you fancy)

Summary
“I was—talking more about, you know. Bringing someone, or someones in, like, once—or twice, you know, if we--if it's good. When we—yeah. If we like it."
Oh. Oh.
"You mean swinging," Eliot summarizes, and, of course the word makes Quentin go a brilliant red.
"Yeah," he grumbles. "If you wanna, uh, put a label on it."
Grappling with early empty-nesting feelings, Quentin and Eliot throw themselves into domestic hobbies and decide, hey, now is probably the time for them to experiment, now that they have the house to themselves. Which is something they both want, obviously... doesn’t everybody? At least a little? Well, Eliot is fine but... who needs to tell your life-partner of a decade or so that you only want to be with him, forever? Isn’t it better to just deal with one night of swinging if that’s what he wants—and it is what he wants, right?
