Summary
Teyvat is a world full of history, gods, and ancient civilizations.
Although only the surface of this extensible source of knowledge is common to everyone, a few unwillingly chosen souls have been allowed to scratch past the layers of lies and naivety, often at the price of a tarnished mind and wretched destiny. It is well-known to them that being aware of the truth in such a world is fully equivalent to a death sentence.
However, some of these souls have chosen to challenge these unfair rules no matter the cost and have embarked on a predestined journey to knock over the giant chessboard. He leaned back against the sundial, his heavy lidded eyes never leaving the sight of the ruins of Mondstadt in the distance. How did this happen and why did his feet lead him here? He’s too tired to try and remember but he did have a small recollection of a certain bard urging him to come here despite his hesitance. He clutched the deep injury on his stomach as he let out a shuddering breath.
He closed his eyes momentarily and when he opened them again, he didn’t expect for a woman whose body is transparent to be kneeling down in front of him. He didn’t have the energy to ask, he only blinked his eyes slowly.
“Hello… star-pupiled child. My old friend must have told you to come to me as a last resort.” the woman said as she smiled so gently. “Do not worry. I’ll grant your deepest wish and I hope this would be enough to change the outcome of this… dreadful war.”
He felt her hands cradling his face in a motherly manner and he closed his eyes. The last thing he remembered was a soft touch on his forehead and the cool and yet comfortable wind surrounding him in an embrace.

The sound of people filled the air. Mondstat was the land of life. Kaeya approaches Sara as she seems to be packing up some food to be delivered. Kaeya flashes a quick, practised smile at the adventurer who must've got a commission to get somebody food. The adventurer smiled back shyly, her cheeks rosy. The normalcy of it all made Kaeya feel... strangely empty.
Until the normalcy is disturbed.

Ajax has been a part of the Fatui for over a year now. Thanks to his abundance of passion for combat, he's advanced past his peers at an unforeseen rate. By special order, he is relocated to the capital city of Snezhnaya for an exclusive month-long training program with a famous Inazuman swordswoman. He meets a new recruit by the name of Zhongli, who not only matches Ajax's skill in combat, but also seems to be harboring some type of secret regarding his identity and his intentions in joining the Fatui. The two of them grow closer over the course of their training. As their graduation date grows near, so too does the unraveling of a narrative that reaches far beyond what Ajax ever could have imagined.
