A year After the Khaenri’ah incident, Kaeya and Clavia find clues to the location of their missing younger brother, Rohan. Alina also wants a piece of the adventure, but she may find love along the way.
Meanwhile, while Aether strives to perfect the Abyss for anyone who would need to stay there in the event of a catastrophe, Kaeya’s Stepmother, Albina, schemes to control the Abyss for herself and pureblood Khaenri’ahns only…and perhaps make herself immortal.
No one knows how long they have before their fragile world falls apart completely but all they can do is train their powers. Luckily there is a powerful woman from old Khaenri’ah to help. But Kaeya struggles to control his powers and realizes he can take his consciousness outside of Teyvat.
When Lena Kratz, leader of Mondstadt’s vigilante group goes rogue and past alliances are uncovered, the Ragnvindrs are left to do damage control, which just results in both families’ secrets being exposed at the risk of disrupting the fragile alliances between Mondstandt, Fontaine, and Snezhenaya.
Can Albina be defeated before she completes her plan, and can the Fatui be kept at bay? And most importantly, can Kaeya keep from going insane?

He leaned back against the sundial, his heavy lidded eyes never leaving the sight of the ruins of Mondstadt in the distance. How did this happen and why did his feet lead him here? He’s too tired to try and remember but he did have a small recollection of a certain bard urging him to come here despite his hesitance. He clutched the deep injury on his stomach as he let out a shuddering breath.
He closed his eyes momentarily and when he opened them again, he didn’t expect for a woman whose body is transparent to be kneeling down in front of him. He didn’t have the energy to ask, he only blinked his eyes slowly.
“Hello… star-pupiled child. My old friend must have told you to come to me as a last resort.” the woman said as she smiled so gently. “Do not worry. I’ll grant your deepest wish and I hope this would be enough to change the outcome of this… dreadful war.”
He felt her hands cradling his face in a motherly manner and he closed his eyes. The last thing he remembered was a soft touch on his forehead and the cool and yet comfortable wind surrounding him in an embrace.

Summary
In an attempt to weaken Mondstadt’s defenses, Khaenri’ah plans a strike on one of its border towns—however, the plans are uncovered by Mondstadtian spies in its early stages, and Mondstadt’s foundling younger prince volunteers to personally lead the counterstrike out of a sense of duty and survivor’s guilt. Tragedy strikes in the attempt, and Mondstadt is left reeling in the aftermath.
Deep in the centers of the Art of Khemia not long after, a newborn deity awakens, chained to the ground, remembering nothing but his Celestia-granted name and his domain, and strangely drawn to an oddly familiar place in the northeast.

A slow-burn story about finding someone who sees you, without needing you to explain yourself. -
