    Summary

What are these weird symbols? They look like letters from an ancient alphabet. What’s written on the carved texts behind the copper discs? Not one Hermit knows.

    Except for Pearl.

Tango and the rest of ZITS have been friends for who knows how long. Because of this unbreakable bond, they will take any chance they get to destroy each other—whether it be through a drinking contest that leaves Tango with a few broken bones and Zed food poisoning from dog food, and a short prank war that ended up with Tango and Zed becoming trees and Skizz making euphemistic hand gestures.

There is no record about the two-thousand-year great war that ended up shaping the three dimensions (Overworld, Nether, and End) into what they are now. However, there is only one Hermit who remembers and can share the tale through their own eyes.

    Let's face it.

    Tango is dying.

And he can't do anything about it.

He already used his admin privileges and code-breaking abilities a hundred billion times, attempting to apply code treatment to himself since there's no danger in spreading it to another victim if he's the inflicted one in the first place. He also used medications the doctors prescribed on top of that to slow down the symptoms and luckily, they work surprisingly well.

Unfortunately, Hanahaki isn't very forgiving as time goes on.

The unrequited victims are meant to die by its choking hold. Period. It’s miraculous how he survived this long.

AKA a self-indulgent fic where I give centipede Tango Hanahaki disease. He is not having a good time.

    Summary

His hunger colonizes his entire being.

The guttural rumbles keep getting louder and louder over time the longer he doesn’t eat. He can’t. Not when he still has to wait for the delivery to arrive. His mouth keeps drooling against his will whenever he stares at the Hermits for a bit too long, his instincts frantically yelling at him to feast. But he won’t.

    He just can’t!

He’d rather endure the painful hunger pangs. They’re his family who welcomed him into their lives despite his adequate skills, for crying out loud! There are far more talented people in the universe, yet they still accepted him. The least he can do to repay their kindness is to never bare his teeth on their flesh, even if his instincts are telling him otherwise.

How will Tango cope with the Hermits’ agitation when they finally discover that he eats people?

    Summary

Previosly titled: Roar From the Deep

The flames licking up the sides of the escape pod burned bright. If any soul could see him right now, they’d think he was a star falling from the sky. Maybe he was. Maybe in some other universe he’d be smiling, and teaming with anticipation. But instead, his neck was craned back. His eyes, red and irritated, were glued to the sight of the ship he’d lived on for the past four months as it combusted in the upper atmosphere. It was mere seconds before the shockwave knocked into his pod, sending a panel flying off the wall. He barely had a moment to raise his arms in reaction as the metal shrapnel collided with his skull. In a swirl of red, the world went dark.

Years of training lead to this moment. He was finally aboard a spaceship. He could finally explore the stars and achieve his dreams. But, silly Tango, now youre alone on an alien planet with nothing but fish to keep you company. Stinky, gooey, gross fish. And the ocasional blood curdling monster.

    Can you survive?

    Can anyone survive?

    Summary

One of my few regrets is never exploring how Tango felt about all this in the original writing, only really thinking about it when I began making Countereaction: Wandering Souls, Healing Hearts. Also I regret not really doing much with the fact that Scar's prolly scarred for life after this oh goodness oh cats-

Also, the mess of whatever the heck is up with POVs and formatting so far? Yeah, it only gets worse in this section. I think things still somehow make sense though, so hopefully it’s not horrific.
