Summary
The kingdom of Kouka is finally at peace, and Queen Yona has just married Son Hak, the man she'll be ruling it jointly with. As Hak prepares for the wedding night, he suddenly experiences doubt. Calista was an underground fighter. Taken in by Mundok after a particularly rough night, she grew up as an older sister to Hak, Yona and Soo-won. But the underground never lets anyone truly leave. To escape their clutches, Soo-won buys her from them, making her his slave. Fully aware of her combat abilities, he hides her as his bodyguard by posing as an escort. After the fateful events the night King Il was murdered, she made her escape with her brother and the Princess, fleeing to Fuuga and continuing their journey. On the way, she learns that she's not alone anymore, that she can trust her new friends, and most importantly, that love is allowed to be reciprocated.

Yona is feeling a little down as she contemplates spending the New Year’s holiday alone; her father is away for work (again), and Hak is so busy with his new job to the point where she barely sees him anymore. While visiting Jae-ha and Yun’s café for a quick meal, she is invited to stay and ring in the new year with the rest of her friends. Overjoyed, she agrees, but still wishes Hak could be there with them… until he actually shows up, his unexpected presence sending her into a frenzy.
