Summary
Captain Niah Zh’kaarrin has hit her stride. Two successful years commanding the USS Swordfish and with her partner Sala by her side, her future seems bright. But when a brutal skirmish reveals the theft of a critical Federation technology, she’s pulled from the front lines. Paired with a rival captain she despises, Niah is thrust into a race against time, where every order reopens a wound she believed long scarred over.
As the chase spirals across the Federation frontier, Niah fights to reclaim control. Not just of the mission from her inexperienced superior, but of her own spiraling personal life. Yet the deeper she goes, the clearer it becomes: Starfleet Intelligence sees her as a liability. On top of this, the woman Niah loves is slipping further away, tired of promises cut short by duty and, as Niah suspects, hiding secrets of her own.
The mission seems simple: save the Federation and recover what was stolen before it falls into the hands of the Klingons. But to save herself, Niah may have to let go of everything she thought made her strong.

This was inspired by the REAL album released in 1967 titled "Leonard Nimoy Presents Mr. Spock's Music from Outer Space", specifically "Where is Love?" (which in my head cannon is written for Kirk). This is my personal take on Spock writing this album while aboard the Enterprise and the mischief that leads to the creation of a rather human album. I STRONGLY suggest you listen to the album while reading this -- Leonard Nimoy killed it.
