So, it’s become a thing now, Harry is just curious (he’s actually obsessed). He found the dress on the brand’s website the very same day after coming back home. It was his guilty pleasure, memorising the detail on every strand, every other minute he knew Louis wasn’t around. He tried to convince himself that he liked it as a gift for someone else, but the thought that someone, even someone close to him wearing it makes him feel a tad bit weird. Harry would rather tongue-kiss a girl than accept it’s jealousy.

I uploaded this a few years ago under the title "It's Not A Thing" and it was well received. Today is Transgender day of visibility so I revisited this work and added a 2025 story and edited it a lot as my writing has matured. This story is about gender and the journey it can take you on. Harry does all these gender affirming things that really are *not* things, and he slowly learns what it means to exist in a world built on a binary as someone who doesn't exist within it. With all the transphobia that running rampant right now, this is a story of trans joy and resistance. It's about being unapologetically trans and being loud and taking up space and being undeniably visible in a world that tells us to silently hide in the shadows. This story is for all my trans siblings- I see you and you are valid.

“I know,” Louis says. “It’s okay.” He brushes his hand down Harry’s cheek, soft and gentle. “I can start,” he says. “Tell you about what I imagine us doing together. And anytime you feel like something isn’t right – you can stop me, and we can figure out a different path.”
Harry nods slowly. “Okay,” he says. “I can try.”Four times Harry cries during sex. And four times Louis is right there beside him, giving him all the comfort and support and validation he needs.

Harry didn't know what to expect from nesting, he had never done it before and the first time had not gone as he had hoped. The blanket circle was one of the new additions he had and he just wanted to make a good nest, with a good structure and a warm inside. Only the first use didn't happen as he had expected.
