Summary
He’s still learning all the new things about how he wants Eddie to touch him—the way he craves Eddie’s weight on top of him, Eddie’s arm over his shoulders, Eddie holding him still. Steve thinks of all the girls he’s done the same things to. How he’d lean over them and whisper in their ears, use his size to make them small against him, grin when they’d blush and giggle.
Steve wants Eddie to do those kinds of things to him. He wants it with a burning, confusing need.
So when, one night, when Steve’s already dizzy and touch-warm against Eddie’s mouth, when Eddie’s hand snakes down Steve’s side to cup the curve of Steve’s ass, when Eddie asks, a little winded, “Wanna try something else?”
Or, Steve has a crisis, but it's not the gay kind.

Summary
“He didn’t even do anything,” Steve Harrington says, halfway out his seat; it looks, Eddie thinks, like he’s objecting to a guilty verdict, like he’s gonna fight the whole damn jury—and Eddie knows he’s done nothing to earn Steve’s righteous anger, but maybe Steve feels like he does today, a fuse just waiting for an excuse.

„Steeeve, I really don’t think this is a good idea.“ Robin grabs him by the sleeve of his shirt to hold him back.
„Oh, but it is a great idea, actually! The best idea I ever had!“

Summary
“I don’t have any folks,” Steve says, all matter of fact, like he’s telling Eddie the weather. “Because they turned me out.”
Eddie looks up at him. His head is spinning, a little dizzy from the drink, and he feels stupid for it. Not safe, when he’s gotten addicted to the way Steve licks his lip, chews on it with his teeth. “Why’s that?” he asks.
Steve turns and looks at Eddie. He’s pretty in the firelight, all golden glowing and flames reflected, dancing in his eyes. His mouth is twisted up in a bittersweet smile. He looks like a wary dog, longing for touch but too used to pain to accept any of Eddie’s gentle petting. Idly, Eddie thinks he’d pet Steve real nice if he’d let him. And, like he can read Eddie’s mind, Steve stands, crosses their campsite and sits himself down, right in Eddie’s lap.
“‘Cause of this,” he whispers, and leans down over Eddie, and catches his mouth in a kiss.
Or, Eddie doesn't much like Wayne's new hired hand that Eddie's going to be alone with all summer.

Summary
“What are you waiting for?” he asks.
Steve is sitting on the edge of his roof in this dream, watching the forest intently. He doesn’t turn his head towards Eddie, caught on a particular spot in the woods.
“You, I think. At least, I think it’s you. I hope it’s you.”
Eddie leans in close, hoping that Steve will turn his eyes, to look at Eddie, to give him that sweet, dreamy smile. “You shouldn’t bother waiting for something like me,” he tells Steve, desperate for those pretty eyes to look at him. “You should be happy.”
“I am happy,” Steve murmurs. He doesn’t look happy. He doesn’t look at Eddie. He watches the distant trees, standing guard. “I’m happy waiting. I think I can wait forever.”
Or, Eddie is a monster, and he knows exactly what Steve Harrington does to monsters.

Summary
As much as Steve had wanted to close that chapter once and for all after losing the man he’d thought he would spend the rest of his life with, he soon had to accept that Eddie Munson would forever be present - just not in the way Steve had always dreamed he would.

Summary
And sure, this is Hawkins fucking Indiana, where weird things happen every few months, but monsters and alternate dimensions are one thing, this- this is too insane even for this goddamned town.
But then Steve’s eyes meet Eddie’s, and while they’re the same big hazel eyes that Eddie loves, the person staring at him through them isn’t Steve.
“Holy shit-” He gasps, his eyes widening in realization. “Buckley?”
Steve- no, Robin nods slowly and Eddie’s heart falls out of his ass. “What the fuck is going on?”
or Eddie wakes up in Steve’s bed with someone who looks like his boyfriend but isn’t him

He can’t let the wall crumble because Eddie would instantly know what it means.
Would know that, behind layers of pretentious confidence, Steve hides this vulnerable part of himself. -

Summary
Steve wakes up to the smell of weed and Dial soap, and a hand around his dick. Idly, he keeps pumping, his long fingers with thick calluses from guitar strings rough on the already too-sensitive skin. Even as he continues, he knows Eddie’s going to be so mad about it. Going to either show up to the trailer in twenty minutes with a red face and cartoon steam coming out of his ears, or Steve will see him at school and get the cold shoulder.
It’s not Steve’s fault, though! Eddie’s the giant hypocrite for jerking off while thinking of Steve after making the no dick touching policy.
Or, in a world of body-swaping soulmates, Eddie Munson still manages to make the wrong assumption.

Summary
It’s the movement that catches Steve’s eye: Eddie’s hands flexing gingerly as they walk through the woods.
At first Steve dismisses it as a nervous habit—honestly, he’d say Eddie’s holding up pretty well for someone who recently swam into an alternate dimension—but then his flashlight illuminates the side of Eddie’s face at just the right moment, and he sees the clenched jaw of discomfort.
“Are you hurt?”
Surprisingly, Eddie doesn’t look like he’s been found out; he just looks puzzled. “Uh, no?”

Summary
Eddie has fallen in love. And he’s almost positive Steve’s falling in love with him back. If only Steve knew that, anyways.
Which—Eddie is working on it, alright, he is doing his best. He is going to be Steve Harrington’s bisexual awakening, and he’s going to lord it over Robin’s head for the rest of her life, all the way to the nursing home the three of them are going to terrorize together. It’s going to be amazing.
Because Eddie has turned Steve’s head. He knows he has. Because, Steve likes Eddie’s leather jacket, his ripped pants, and his rings, but Steve also likes the cropped AC/DC shirt, the eyeliner, the tattoo Eddie got over last Thanksgiving that sits low on his hip, peeking over the waist of his pants. He likes watching Eddie play guitar, on stage and off. He likes Eddie’s music in the beemer, he likes Eddie’s favorite diner, and he likes to listen to Eddie talk.
Or, they go to see Dirty Dancing in theaters, and Eddie owes a life debt to Patrick Swayze.

Summary
Steve finds himself wondering what it would feel like to hold them- Eddie’s hands or just a guy’s hand. He wonders how different it would be from holding Nancy’s hand or Heather’s or Kelly’s. Steve’s fingers itch to reach out and grab Eddie’s- find out if he likes rough hands as much as softer ones, if he likes long fingers as much as smaller ones, if he likes short chipped nails as much as long perfectly manicured ones.
It’s not the first time he’s thought about it. It’s not even the first time he’s thought about it while staring at Eddie’s hands, but unlike those other times, Steve actually brings it up.
“Have you ever held hands with a guy?”
or Steve is curious about what it’s like to hold a guy’s hand so of course he asks Eddie for help
