A different first meeting where Stan runs into Jimmy when he's working his prostitution job on the corner. Jimmy ends up being the first person to (albeit reluctantly) try Stan's water after no one else would. Stan's so grateful that he hugs Jimmy on the spot, smiling from ear to ear like he was just given the greatest gift in his life, thanking him over and over again.
“You’re…welcome?” Jimmy wasn’t really sure what to say to this shit. He’d never encountered anyone in this city that wore their emotions on their sleeve like this before. Also, who the fuck hugged someone they literally just met?

Stan wouldn't listen to Jimmy no matter how many times he told him he shouldn't leave out water for the stray animals outside the apartments. He always had a cheerful smile on his face as he did it, too, not even realizing it was fucking poison he was trying to feed those poor animals.
A different version of 'Stan and Jimmy Make Amends to that Poor Dog', where Stan isn't toxic to Jimmy, and it's clear they both have things to make amends for these poor animals.

Jimmy couldn’t help but feel touched, some part of his icy heart warmed by the statement. His tear ducts were betraying him, his eyes stinging and tears falling down his face and they just wouldn't stop. Never once had anyone ever stood up to Alabaster for him like this.The encounter with Alabaster except Stan isn't toxic to Jimmy this time.

Jimmy said, confused.Stan can't believe that Jimmy would still want to be his friend after he accidentally punches him in the face not once, but TWICE in one day, so he decides to try to sabotage their friendship and end it, starting with an argument about 60 dollars. Jimmy is just kind of confused about what's going on here.
A better explanation for why Stan just seemed to randomly start arguing with Jimmy about that 60 dollars at the end of that first day. A lot of sobbing and tissues on Stan's part.
