My original summary, as it was written for fanfiction.net ages ago: "A very brief tale of Link's encounter with an atypically-skilled Stalfos."
Very, VERY brief. I remember at the time (more than twenty years ago now) I was putting together ideas for a longer fic about an older Link being drawn out of retirement by some disaster or another. This brief look at the aftermath of Link's fight with the "StalKing" (what an absurd and silly name, inspired by Twilight Princess' Stallord) is all that remains.
I'm starting to pull together older works of mine. The bad, the worse, the... well none of it is good, so the not-so-worse? I want to put it all somewhere. Look at it again. Maybe be inspired to do better than I could have back then. Presented unedited, as-is, with minimal apologies.

As the chosen hero of the Goddess, Link is completely and utterly devoted to his princess, and wants to give her everything she deserves and more.
Right now, that means an army of followers just as devoted to protecting her. Calamity Ganon wiped out all the able-bodied Hylians, but maybe the monsters can be put to use- with a little training.Zelda has no interest in physical desires. Before, she'd seen it as a necessity to produce an heir. In post-Calamity Hyrule, she saw it as a necessity to repopulate.
She doesn't like it and never has, but she's a good ruler, and a good ruler is always willing to make sacrifices for their people's well-being. -
