Summary
Espionage was always Espio’s strong suit.
Whenever a case required more information that could only be obtained through infiltration, he was the one sent in. So, when his team’s latest mission was to investigate an anonymous tip from an unknown client, he was sent to check it out.
The claim had been believable enough. One of Eggman’s old factories from the war had been reportedly seen active again, gray clouds drifting up from the smokestack every so often. Their client had asked for them to go investigate. It was a concerning case. The factory had never been cleaned out post-war. No one wanted to enter and relive their trauma so early into peacetime, so the idea of a new criminal having access to Eggtech… It practically spelled out trouble.
OR:
After the success and subsequent failure of the Metal Virus, Eggman decides to attempt to refine his process once again. Armed with his new technology, dubbed the Roboticizer, all he needs is one thing; a test subject, to be sure it works. And who better to test it on than an unfortunate Espio, captured during an investigation of a supposedly abandoned factory from during the war?

But things quickly take a turn for the worse after Sonic mistakenly uses the glove on a computer linked up to Sage, Robotnik's digital daughter.
A reluctant team-up between enemy and ally is needed to overcome the challenges that lie ahead and get Sage back. But time is running out, and trust is in short supply.

Maria Robotnik has lived for fifty years on the planet she once looked down upon from the ARK. She's had a fulfilling life, the medication she takes making her condition less life threatening and more chronic. Still, she's now in her 60s and she's not getting any younger. There's still one thing she wants more than anything. Her little brother. The reason she's still alive to begin with has been locked away all this time. He needs the chance to live a life of his own.
And it's hard to expect life to remain simple even when she does get him out. The world keeps turning and her cousin is still determined to take over it. Just as she and Shadow start to settle into a new normal, they have to fight for the world, though they're not alone in the fight.
And Shadow? Shadow is quickly learning that even in the new "normal" everything is somehow weirder than his life on the ARK. Especially when encountering a certain blue hedgehog.

He knows he’s wrong. He knows he’s special in ways he doesn’t yet understand. It’s hard to ignore when the chaos emeralds thrum constantly in the back of his head, reminding him of the role he’s meant to fill. The role he rejects every time he borrows their power.
When the time comes, he will accept, because that’s just who he is. For now, he tries to live life like he always has, because there comes a day when he will no longer be able to ignore what lies ahead of him.
Tell him, how does he make the most of the moment when the moment lasts eternity?(AKA: The chaos emeralds claim Sonic as their guardian, essentially turning him into a god. Now, he has to deal with the implications of that— and immortality.)

Summary
What starts as a typical battle against Dr. Eggman ends up becoming the second trip into the blank space between time for Sonic. Time Eater has taken Dr. Eggman and has launched Sonic back into White Space. Now Sonic must traverse the lands of his memory once more in order to restore his home, of course with the help of his smaller and younger self. However, one by one, more problems and oddities start appearing, making it increasingly obvious that something here is much different, and possibly even more dangerous, than last time. Each zone now seems to be split into day and night. To make matters weirder, the night sections seem to have brought back the werehog. Added on to the fact that even more faces than before have now been found in the strange realm of White Space, the two Sonics must race through the zones of their memories and restore time and stop the Doctors from rehashing their plan, all while dealing with the stress and pressing responsibility that comes with these changes. But everything isn’t as it seems and there’s more to this incident than anyone could ever predict.
AKA: Sonic Generations 2: Electric Boogaloo, now with werehog and forcing Sonic to truly acknowledge his trauma!

“The same way you are the real Sonic, this robot will be the real Tails.”
But it could never be the same. Besides, Metal Sonic fought on his own terms. He never agreed to forced companionship. However, Eggman was convinced that the reason his loathsome copy has been able to defeat his superior might was because he never did it alone. It was true, time and time again, Sonic has relied on the help of an ally; almost always Tails. A coward.
Yet, Eggman decided the way to bring Metal Sonic onto an equal playing field with his adversary was to create another robot: Metal Tails.
Unbeknownst to his creation though, Eggman had realized that simply the creation of another robot would not ensure Sonic’s demise if it didn’t work together with Metal Sonic. To ensure that they would cooperate, Eggman had decided, as much as it aggravated him, he needed to mimic the bond between Sonic and Tails.
He needed to make them brothers.

Night incarnate, however, sits unhappy on his throne. His constant attempts to sway his son of the stars to assist with carrying out a mysterious plan have thus far been extremely unsuccessful. Unable to remove the moon's influence, the Night takes a twisted approach to matters of Shadow into his own hands.
As Sonic's power cyclically wanes and his desperation increases to catch Shadow's attention, he knows he must save him before it's too late. Shadow, also, must navigate his new position and what to make of the new faces he meets. But a nagging sense, especially at night, has been frustrating to parse. As he fights to understand himself, he wars with time ticking away right beside him.
