Summary
Trapped in a world very different than her own, and with little idea of how to return home, Wynn seeks help from the Skeksis, a small group of ancient beings who inhabit a mysteriously empty castle isolated in a dying land. Wynn is quick to learn that the word 'friend' here has little meaning, and that she must rely on her own wit and strategy if she wants to survive long enough to figure out a way home.
A/N (March 2025) = this story is a mess at the moment, up to chapter 17 had been edited/updated since 2022 (but I am still not happy with those changes, so expect more), and beyond that the story is still part of the old one, so both halves don't even form a cohesive story anymore. I was going to hide this story by making it private until the updates are complete, but I thought that might confuse people as I have no way of announcing what I am doing on AO3 except through writing here. Just bear in mind, if you're a new reader, well... I apologise, this will be a mess to read ^^u The finalised version will be completed this year, I will not be updating the story until all edited chapters are available. Consider this fic on HIATUS.

(NB - Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance spoilers) There's just way too much empty space in between "Then Thra gave UrGoh and me a vision..." and "...sooo we forged this legendary sword for you Gelfling and now it's been 379 trine, high time for you to go get it out of storage!" for my author-brain to resist.
The odds that they INSTANTLY got along -- two halves of the same being or not, impelled by divine vision or not -- seem very low to me. :-)

This story started out as something entirely different and eventually morphed into something else. It started out as an adventure I wrote for my original Time Lord characters some years ago but ended up been turned into an effectively a Dark Crystal crossover with several other fandoms including my own original characters and worlds later on. So, it needs some editing as I go.
Anyway, the premise is this, the Universe is at war so Prince Durnaa of Crasolia and the Second head of The Crasolian Parthenon ( my own original character and world)calls in a few favours from several friends of his taken from several different worlds and universes. I think a good comparison would be the Eleventh Doctor Episode 'When a Good Man goes to War' the one taken on Demon's Run.
He calls them all to the world of Aristas to discuss options. On how to fight the Universal war , as I have stated this sort of started out as one thing but gradually set the scene for several spinoffs and is kind of a Turning Point for my Post Movie Dark Crystal AU. Which is taken many years later almost a thousand in fact.
I have put a mature age rating on this because although there isn't a lot of Adult content there is someSeries

This is my Post Movie Dark Crystal AU it is taken many years later and the UrRu and the Skeksis have been exiled even from Thra due to a Covenant that they signed so for many years they have been wandering the Universe and living on several different worlds, as a result a lot of them have gotten married and had children of their own and learnt to fly spacecraft.
The Skeksis even claimed another world to live on called Telgris, The UrRu have mostly been living on a world called Crasolia or on Earth.
It has now been close on one thousand years since the movie and they are hoping that they will be able to return to Thra one day and are hoping to find a way to be led home and no longer be lost.
This is Part Two of Reunion on Aristas- It gets more into the Dark Crystal Crossover from here rather than anything else.This is a good introductory Chapter as it introduces the older children of the UrRu

After the Crystal was healed at the end of the Dark Crystal, the UrSkeks all went home, and all was forgiven? and lived happily ever after!
Not at all, well at least not in my AU.
I decided to write this because it made more sense to me that although they went home, they would quickly realise that they no longer fitted amongst their people and that they now all felt different, and this is what my story is about, about what happened after they went home, it wasn't quite how they pictured it to be.
This story is taken on my version of the UrSkek Homeworld because we don't know a lot about them, so I made my interpretation of it.
The original story has been broken up into several distinct parts, it is a sort of bridge between My pre-movie AU and my Post Movie Au (which is taken many years later and has a different tone), this one is been put into neither category so is going in one of its own.
Have merged all the parts together- as there seemed to be some confusion
