As the Guide of Time, Sheik followed the instructions of the goddesses and Impa as they were given, for he would much rather be spared Din's Wrath in consequence of meddling with the cryptic plans of the Golden Goddesses. But after Sheik finds Link bleeding out in the entrance of Kakariko Village, he is left with no choice but to help the Hero of Time recover from a fatal attack.
Unknown to him, one tiny ripple with the pillars of fate can change the entire outcome of a journey.
Both good and bad.
Title is from Hometown by Twenty One Pilots.

Link is the Prince of Hyrule. Although the kingdom has never had a Prince as it's heir, he has proven himself worthy. With a civil war brewing slowly, the kingdom of Hyrule is glad to have its Prince's WISDOM.
Ganondorf is the only man in the Gerudo tribe. The land of Hyrule fears him, as those who have worn his name have tried to bring about the end of the world. Despite this, he stands strong for his people, the embodiment of COURAGE.
Sheik, like the rest of her people, is a defender of the Hylian royal family. The Shiekah have lead the royal guard for as long as anyone can remember. When Sheik becomes the royal family's personal knight, the world becomes aware of the POWER she possesses.
The Triforce gets swapped around, Hyrule is on the brink of war, and the spirit of Demise can never be stopped. Takes place right before the Hyrulean civil war before Ocarina of Time, and takes inspiration from Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom.

Yes this is Dual POV I switch between Link and Zelda :)Zelda is a girl who had lost her mother at a young age. Her life was flipped upside down by not only her mother's death but with her father remarrying a woman named Morissa. Zelda didn't realize how awful her new stepmother would be. She became a servant to her and her new stepsisters as she was forced to complete every task handed to her without complaint. But something doesn't feel right to Zelda, there is something going on that she can't quite figure out.
Link is a prince who has been reminded by his father, the King of Hyrule, to find a wife before his nineteenth birthday. Link is having none of that. He really didn't understand why he had to get married so soon, he wanted time to find someone he loved not someone he had to pretend to love. He sneaks out of the castle every now and then, not completely unattended. Sometimes his appointed knight Sheik catches him in the act and follows him. Will Link find what he's looking for?
I don't own Zelda, Link, or any Nintendo characters! I only own OC's that I make up! This is strictly for fun and because I want to write it!

Summary
To the King, the wielder of the Master Sword must be a Hylian, so when he met the wielder who was a young Sheikah, he took him and forced him into becoming a Hylian Knight. His excuse was that wielding such a sword meant that he was now property of the Kingdom. The king made the poor boy into a tool for the kingdom, a tool who possesses a broken soul.
However, the princess never got along with Link, with her hatred growing each day at him, perhaps it was the reason why she never awakened her powers when the Calamity came.
One by one they all died, including the princess who was taken to the Shrine of Resurrection. Link’s body was never found until a few years later by someone who was not from Hyrule.
(AKA this is the story where I get characters and creatures from different Zelda games -even though I have not played most of them- put them in this story and make it work. So don't be too surprise if you notice a familiar character or creatures that did not appear in botw)

The boy makes another face. Disappointed. Link feels his blood pressure sky-rocketing. “Awful reflexes,” the boy says. “A wonder why the Goddess chose someone like,” he trails off, making another gesture that Link assumes he’s supposed to understand, “well, you.”

He's tired of being little less than Zelda's shadow, nothing more than a backup should the worst occur. He's tired of just being Zelda, but in a different font. And quite frankly, he wished everyone would stop mistaking him for her whenever he decided not to wear the mask.
So he sets out to prove he was not just another Zelda, not just a carbon copy of the land's beloved princess. That he could actually be someone worthy of being known as more than "Zelda, but sneaky." It all goes downhill from there.
