Tonight, they decide to stop being monsters and hiding behind masks…and give into human “desire” that has been a long time coming.
56; Halloween Safe House; It is Halloween night, and Mark, Amanda, and Eric are holed up in a safe house; John is long dead and Daniel is with friends tonight.

Mark Hoffman is shocked that Amanda Young is using a dating site; he is even more shocked when she gets a date with a man whose initials are P.S.
Mark begins to let jealousy take him over, and he stalks Amanda on her date with the mysterious man…the man turns out to be Peter Strahm, the current thorn in Mark’s side.
Mark’s jealousy continues, but he is eventually confronted by Peter, who knows of Mark’s connections with Jigsaw through Amanda.
Pete makes a proposal to take Jigsaw down, freeing Mark and Amanda of any wrong doing…Pete also makes another proposal, which Mark readily accepts after some hesitation.

Summary
Amanda is tasked with killing Adam permanently; she has a mental breakdown after she does so, which Mark witnesses. He takes pity on her and carries her to rest in her bedroom; he also checks on the recovering Dr. Gordon before he heads out for a bit.
When Mark comes back, he sees Lawrence comforting Amanda, which makes him a bit jealous, but not in a conventional way. The two become closer as the weeks progress, and Mark accidentally witnesses them having sex in the warehouse basement. Things are furthered complicated when John reveals that he has changed one of the nerve gas traps to a needle pit, which upsets both men.
Mark leaves with Lawrence before he exposes his relationship with Amanda to John; Mark takes his co-apprentices to Lawrence’s apartment, where they discuss John’s change to the needle pit to Amanda, who is reasonably upset.
Mark reveals that he saw Amanda and Lawrence together in the basement; the couple reveals to Mark that they want him to also be part of their relationship, which he slowly accepts.
Now united, Mark proposes a plan to take down John Kramer, once and for all.

A story from Amanda’s POV.
Amanda is getting ready to meet Mark to get some information that John needs about people in Mexico that has deceived him.
Amanda is not sure what she thinks about the brooding, all muscle man that has become part of the Jigsaw regime. She definitely knows Mark does not take John’s teachings as serious as her.
She finds Mark truly struggling with staying sober on what would have been his sister’s birthday; so Amanda offers to help him with his cravings, in a way that is not conventional (or recommended IRL).

Mark is working on the latest Jigsaw trip; he begins to think about how John uses Amanda to get under his skin; like John is proving that he has a power over Amanda that Mark never will.
One night, after an argument, Mark and Amanda end up having passionate sex, that leads to a relationship of sorts. Unknown to Amanda, Mark observes who is think is John watching them that night. Mark feels that he now possesses a power over Amanda that John can never have. Though he doesn’t want to admit it, Mark begins to fall in love with his co-apprentice.
When John requests Mark’s help in writing a letter for part of an upcoming game, Mark soon realizes that John will not let Amanda go, even if it means blackmailing Mark and Amanda being killed.
“…..if she dies, I will settle the score, even if you die as well” Mark says.

Peter Strahm was never one to truly hate a coworker. Sure, he’s had an annoying person he’s had to work with here and there, but never someone he couldn’t handle. He was married to his work. He wasn’t going to let someone piss him off so much that he would be caught lacking on the job. So, when he was told that some detectives would be helping the FBI find a deranged killer the news outlets had named Jigsaw, he wasn’t too bothered.
But that completely changed when he was standing face-to-face with the man, he just knew would ruin his life, Mark Hoffman.
