Manami Furuya was a wishful person, although it was a large part of her personality. She didn’t let it show, as she had no reason to. She could fawn over bubbles and watch the way acid dripped down metal poles in science labs instead, or recall memories that no longer felt like they belonged to her.
There wasn’t any reason for her to think about anything else, so as long as she just kept doing what she was already good at; Then her mindless wishes won’t bother anyone else but herself, and her alone.

Why should he try to please a school if he was never wanted there in the first place, let alone given the chance to prove his worth to all of the people there?

Shit. No, he didn’t want this! He began to claw at his mind, anything to get out of this. He looked in the water and saw Midoriya’s expression. There wasn’t any fear, nothing. Just a look of amusement and curiosity. It was sickening.
He feels the scalding sensation of the water but immediately hears the splashing of the toaster and all he could then feel was burning. Not the hot kind like from Todoroki’s fires or Bakugou’s explosions, but pure shock. He could feel the static bounce around his body, inside and everywhere.
Within seconds, he goes numb and his vision turns black.
