Summary
‘I’ve told you before, baby crow. You have the North in you, the real North. You weren’t made to sit in some castle drinking grape-juice and shitting in a fancy chamber-pot’.
‘And I’ve told you, I don’t have a choice. I’m not a free man. This is punishment, for what I did. In King’s Landing’.
Tormund grabs him by the shoulders, so hard that for a moment Jon thinks he’s about to shake him. ‘Listen to me, Snow. You need to stop punishing yourself for things that happened in the past, and start living for now. If you don’t, you’ll get to the end of your life, when you’re old and grey and that servant of yours has to clean up your shit and remind you what day it is, and you’ll wonder why you never let yourself be happy. You think she wanted you to be miserable, your dragon-queen?’
On a ranging beyond the Wall, Jon Snow confronts the past and thinks about his future. Set around 2 years after the end of 'Game of Thrones'.

Summary
Awareness comes to the being that was Karsi slowly, if it comes at all. It's not so much a matter of remembering who or what she is, as just knowing that she is. That she is walking.
After the battle of Hardhome, the wight that was the chieftain Karsi rises with all the others. Then she and everyone else in the white walkers' army start moving, slowly but surely, south. Snowflake by snowflake, winter. Is. Coming.

Summary
(Spoilers for s5e8: Hardhome)
After the crows and the free folk who were lucky enough to make it to the boats had sailed away, and after the White Walkers and their army of the dead marched off from the shores of Hardhome, a lone human is left alive there, abandoned by both the living and the dead.

Summary
'When they climb onto the deck of the ship they are met by silence. Thousands of pale, scared faces staring at the last few men to escape from Hardhome. Jon doesn't look over his shoulder at the beach, but Tormund does. The White Walker is still staring at them, but the wights are drawing back. “Alright,” says Jon, in a voice that carries farther than it should in the quiet air. “Let's head out.” '
Life continues, even after Hardhome.
