Summary
Shikamaru Nara doesn’t remember the jutsu that tossed him across time and space, but he does remember landing face-first in the backyard of a chaotic Latino-American family who promptly adopted him on the spot. Now stuck in the modern world as a high schooler in California—with no way back, no clue how Wi-Fi works, and a class schedule that makes less sense than any war council—Shikamaru tries to lay low.
Unfortunately, “laying low” gets a lot harder when your best friend is a chaos gremlin named Miguel, your classmates think you’re a cryptid, and the entire internet becomes obsessed with “Ceiling Nap Guy” after you fall asleep upside down during physics.
He’s survived battlefields. He’s outmaneuvered enemy shinobi. He’s counseled Kage.
Now he’s trying to survive suburban high school, pop culture, swim class, and anime conventions—with a growing crush on the boy who won’t stop dragging him to them.
A reverse isekai comedy full of napping on ceilings, accidental cult followings, and one very tired ninja figuring out that maybe—just maybe—he actually likes it here.
