“I'm hurt, mo ghrá. I thought you would be happy to see me still alive,” he slapped his hands upon his chest, feigning hurt which Alex rolled her eyes and crossed her arms in a defensive stance.
“What are you doing here, Remmick? I thought you were searching for a filí? Last time I heard, you were in Mississippi,” she paused, catching the crestfallen expression,” Looks like it didn't pan out if you're here,” her voice shifted to a softer tone.

Who was Remmick so desperate to get back to?
Since the beginning of his dark creation, Remmick
has wandered the earth without the privilege of real connection. Sentenced to an eternal life of loneliness, music has been his only companion for years. That all changes one fateful night when he finds a woman with maple brown eyes who can summon spirits with her voice.Elizabeth is an aspiring musician forced to keep her makeshift instruments hidden from her father, and play her songs in secret. That is, until a man with skin as pale as the moon and glittering red eyes rolls into town carrying a real guitar, a totem she never believed she would see, and offers to teach her everything he knows.
In exchange, all he asks for is blood.

Summary
There is something to be said about making a magically binding promise to someone who has thrown pickled garlic in your face. There is also something to be said about her (ex?)husband and his brother returning to the town you set up camp in.
There is absolutely nothing to prepare you for the brother and the rest of the family they drag into their Juke Joint. As long as they don't spot you outside their joint with the blood of a Klansmen dripping down your chin, you're probably fine.

Summary
Before Remmick, there was Ríagán.
He sang to cattle, braided herbs into doorposts, and knew thirty stories older than his clan by the time he was twelve. Then came the outsiders. Then came the book. Then came the dead man who walked. Ríagán watched Gaelic Ireland vanish not in war, but in forgetting - the slow unthreading of story, song, and name.

Summary
Remmick was not always a vampire. Before, he was a farmer. And he loved a girl.
But on the night of Samhain, everything changes, as Remmick’s human life comes to an end.
My take on Remmick’s backstory in 4th century BC Ireland. Very historically inaccurate.
