What happened to Wei Wuxian in the 13 years he was dead?
When MXTX was posed this question in an interview, she stated: "He's in a state of chaos, not quite conscious but he didn't lose all his senses, just like he's in an endless nightmare."
This bittersweet interpretation of what Wei Wuxian might have experienced throughout his years without a corporeal body.
It's not all bad there is some adorable fluff mixed in as well, so don't worry! Some sweetness to ease the sting and of course Wei Wuxian gets a happy ending with his soulmate in the end, as this fic is meant to be canon compliant after all.
I wrote this fanfic piece with the intention that it could fit into the novel without any disturbance to canon - so hopefully that's the case!
