Summary
When he hits rock-bottom, Midoriya Izuku takes a leap of faith and falls to his death.
However, he does not die. (At least, not in the traditional sense.)
Death offers him a job, with power and knowledge far greater than any mortal in the quirked world can ever dream of possessing. A symbol of ultimate justice, one who decides who lives and who dies, to be ferried off to either paradise or pain.
As Izuku fills into his new role, his actions become the stuff of rumours, hearsay and warnings.
Be good, and the Ferryman will bring you to heaven. Be bad, and he will whisk you away to eternal damnation.

Summary
Strangely enough, Izuku meets Charon before he dies. Charon is both everything and nothing he expected.
Contrary to what the myths would have like him to believe, the Underworld is a gentle, gentle place. It's a resting place. A home for all those that are lost and still wander. It teaches him that death has always been, and will always be, an ending with many faces.
(The fruit of the Underworld is forbidden because it seeks to keep. Izuku does not mind. He likes being wanted.
The first bite of pomegranate is tart and sweet and tastes like relief.)Series
