“Zack!” Another familiar voice. Bright red hair barrels towards him from down the hospital hallway (hospital. He’s in a fucking hospital), a young woman following behind, shouting orders to the nurses to stay back. Reno’s eyes widen and he skids to a halt, throwing an arm out to stop the woman from charging onwards. “Shit, he’s got Rude’s gun.”

Summary
Father Sephiroth had been called for a mission in the middle of Nibbel mount. A quiet place that no church man had ever dared to step on, but since it is Sephiroth's first mission as an exorcist, he doesn't have much choice. After hearing the local myths and legends, he decides to investigate the church that had been used to worship Jenova. Noticing that the church was not meant to be for Jenova worshipers, Sephiroth thinks that his best option to understand what is going on there is to spend few nights in the building. He was right: being alone there brings the demon that lives there.

Cloud’s been unabashedly staring at him, and it’s not like the man would notice. He’s enraptured in a book, a steaming cup raising to his lips occasionally. Long black hair is pulled back, wisps escaping here and there over the man’s shoulders, the shorter cut strands left to hang over his brow. He’s long-legged, thin, and even from afar Cloud can see how his skin cuts over his cheekbones and jaw in stark relief. Maybe it’s the shadow the man sits in, or maybe his eyes are simply set that deep, shadowed and flickering every time he goes from page to page with gloved fingers. A red scarf wraps around his neck. Everything else he wears is night-black. His face is the only bit of skin he’s showing, and it’s pale, nearly paler than Cloud.
He looks haunted. Cloud is unfortunately attracted to that.

Cloud doesn't do relationships. Too much energy he doesn't have, and why bother when hook-ups are easier? Or at least they usually are. Then comes a tall man with a deep voice, asking questions, whose haunted eyes keep finding Cloud. Now it's complicated.
