After Douxie moves to New York with Nari and Archie, he didn't think things would go so bad so quickly. The Arcane Order attacks them at their apartment so Archie takes Nari back to Arcadia for help while Douxie leads the Order away from them. He was wasn't expecting to stumble across a camp for children with godly parents.
Alternatively- Douxie gets thrown into Camp Half-Blood and accidentally starts a small war against the Arcane Order.

Summary
Everyone says that the amulet doesn't make mistakes so Jim was always meant to be the TrollHunter, it was his destiny. So why did it choose Tobias Domzalski at then end of the movie? The answer could be that it knows what Jim did and is simply working as part of his plan to 'make right'. With Toby as TrollHunter, Jim can direct him on what to do and who to face while he works to avoid the disasters he escaped from and rebuild what he lost with the help of his loved ones.
I didn't like Rise of The Titan's so here is how Jim is going to fix everything after travelling back in time. -
