Summary
There is someone else in the Archive.
Jon knows he’s being paranoid, knows that he saw everyone leave earlier, but he keeps hearing footsteps and faint muttering as he walks through the stacks, looking for anything that could be related to the Unknowing or even the Stranger or I Do Not Know You or the Circus or anything.
Maybe he should go to sleep. Martin told him to, before he left. That was three hours ago.
But he can’t sleep, because the world’s ending and he needs to know and there is someone else in his Archives.
Or: I drop Caleb, Beau, and Caduceus into the Archives mid season 3. This changes things.

Martin knew that he couldn’t trust what came from behind the door - the entire purpose of the corridors seemed to be to make him doubt his senses - but when the figure stumbled over the threshold, blinking in the dim light of Martin’s living room as though uncertain where he was, Martin ignored all of his nagging doubts and rushed to his side.
“Martin?” Jon blinked at him, his eyes still clearly adjusting from the kaleidoscopic brightness of the hallway he’d just left.
“It’s me, I’m here, I’m real,” he said, and hoped that Jon believed him. He remembered when he and Tim had finally left that place, how hard it was at first to trust what he saw and heard. Jon gripped the front of Martin’s shirt as though trying to get independent confirmation that he was, in fact, real. “How long were you in those corridors?”
Jon shook his head. “Not long. Just long enough to get here. S-she said she’d take me someplace safe.”
Martin wasn’t sure who ‘she’ was, or what Jon was running from, but he tightened his grip on Jon’s shoulders and whispered fiercely, “She did. She did; you’re safe here.”
What if Helen's door had taken Jon to Martin's apartment at the end of MAG 101?

Tim says the words more to his lap than to him. And yes, Jon suspected that if Tim knew the Circus had him, he would’ve looked. But it wouldn’t have been for him. His presence would only be incidental. Tim’s staring at his arm as if the power of his gaze could knit it back together right and whole. His hand remains in place, and Jon wonders if it’s more for Tim than him. It’s as if he has to be reminded that Jon’s real, that he’s here.

When Jon had been kidnapped by the Circus, there was a routine: every day, Jon would be taken, stripped naked, and tied to a chair. Rather than use ropes, which would limit the amount of accessible skin, Nikola’s faceless puppets would awkwardly tether him to the chair with zip ties.
Daisy’s arms aren’t like the zip ties, but somehow, Jon feels like escape is even less possible here.
